Charlotte takes great delight in making things.

Her wearable sculptures are inspired by the traditions of jewellery making, and the potential for expression and storytelling through adornment. She builds and textures each piece organically, using the ancient technique of lost wax casting to create treasures imbued with their own symbolism, meaning and memory.

Charlotte’s work as a set and costume designer leads her exploration into historical, natural and imagined worlds, characters and mythologies. She playfully translates these concepts into sculptural forms that are brought to life in collaboration with the wearer, or invite the interaction of an audience, or transform with light or movement.

Charlotte is guided by the properties of the materials, and their inherent possibilities for reinvention and transformation. She designs contextually in response to the environments her work inhabits; whether it be the contours of the body, or for immersive spaces at a large scale.
